Mogwai's Every Country's Sun!

Hi everyone,

Been spinning the Mogwai records from June along this summer to this show. Great band, roam the lands of sound widely, strangely, & wonderfully. Hoping this 2017 release is just the next of many more to come. It's a beautiful record. Been fun sharing all these songs of this band. Will catch up with them another time! Enjoy!

Mogwai's Rave Tapes!

Hi everyone,

This 2014 album by Mogwai soothes my sheltering-in-place soul. Don't know so much about it being too rave-y, but it sure is sweet!

Mogwai's Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will!

Hi everyone,

Here is the next entry in our Mogwai summer marathon. Their music has changed over time, still restless, still strange, still great listening in a darkened room, smoke blowing soft . . .

Mogwai's The Hawk Is Howling!

Hi everyone,

This is Mogwai's 2008 album, all of it are instrumentals, & a delight it is. Dark, brooding. Like a theme album for this pandemic summer. Enjoy!

Two Hours of Mogwai!

Hi everyone,

The radio bossman said, "Can you make an extra long show this week, V?" I said, "Sho' nuff, bossman!" And since this show is right now on a Mogwai kick, we got two hours of three albums of Mogwai brooding, loud, soft, weird & wonderful brilliance. Here they are:

• Rock Action (2001)
• Happy Songs For Happy People (2003)
• Mr. Beast (2006)

Shelter in place happy! :)

Mogwai's Come On Die Young!

Hi everyone,

Mogwai's second album is slower, more brooding, almost droning though it doesn't. It's like a day when you gotta just shut the curtains, put out the lights, hide away, not asleep, but apart as possible. Even in a pandemic . . .

Mogwai Young Team!

Hi everyone,

This was Mogwai's debut album, & I got a hankering for it while looking for ways to shelter in place well. Rowdy, dreamy music. Not quite like anything else. Give it a try with me :)
