Stars of the Lid is an American ambient music project that formerly consisted of Brian McBride and Adam Wiltzie. The duo formed in Austin, Texas, in 1992. The Tired Sounds of Stars of the Lid was their sixth album, released in 2001. Too deeply wonderful to describe well. But thanks to Claudia for the tip! Plaid said in a press release that the themes of the album are "the problems and benefits of polymers" as well as "the natural versus the synthetic, silk and silicone, the significant effect they have on our lives."
