Tortoise's Tortoise / Millions Now Living Will Never Die / TNT!

Hi everyone,

Tortoise came out of Chicago in the 1990s & invented "post-rock." But I did not really know how to listen to them properly to appreciate them. Till recently. Fell into them, sort of accidentally. Kept on falling & falling . . . fall with me!

The Tired Sounds of Stars of the Lid!

Hi everyone,

Stars of the Lid is an American ambient music project that formerly consisted of Brian McBride and Adam Wiltzie. The duo formed in Austin, Texas, in 1992. The Tired Sounds of Stars of the Lid was their sixth album, released in 2001. Too deeply wonderful to describe well. But thanks to Claudia for the tip! That Twin Peaks fragment: wowza!

Plaid's Feorm Falorx!

Hi everyone,

Plaid's new album is, according to one reviewer, "woven around an imagined festival named Feorm taking place on the planet Falorx." Of course it is. Of course it's great! :)

Plaid's Polymer!

Hi everyone,

Plaid said in a press release that the themes of the album are "the problems and benefits of polymers" as well as "the natural versus the synthetic, silk and silicone, the significant effect they have on our lives."

That's all so cool to know, but the music is so good it matters & does not. Just enjoy! :)

PeaceNstarZ,
